The Backup page lets you create a snapshot of the project and restore it from a previously saved archive. Use backups to protect against accidental misconfiguration, hardware failure, or to migrate the project to a different server.
Creating a backup
Navigate to Settings → Backup.
Click Create Backup. The system packages the current project state into a single archive file.
Once the archive is ready, download it and store it in a location that is accessible independently of the server hardware — for example a network share or a local workstation.
Create a backup before editing alarm rules, modifying notification channels, or making structural changes to the project. A fresh backup lets you roll back quickly if something goes wrong.
Restoring from a backup
Navigate to Settings → Backup.
Click Restore and select the backup archive from your computer.
Confirm the operation. The system applies the archive and restores the project to the state it was in when the backup was created.
Restoring a backup replaces the current project configuration and data with the contents of the archive. Any changes made after the backup was taken will be lost. If you need to preserve recent work, create a new backup of the current state before restoring an older one.
